Apple released Security Update 2005-007 on Monday. It supposedly fixed over 40 security issues in OS X. Unfortunately, we have started hearing reports that along with the security fixes, this security update breaks 64 bit application support in the operating system. (see AppleInsider's report)
After recognizing this issue and supposedly pulling the patch and saying that an updated patch would be available within a few days, the bad patch update is still available on Apple's download site and via Software Update tonight.

If you are very fond of the single button mice that Apple has been producing all these years, you will get a real kick out of the latest FoxTrot comic issue.

I have been listening to the Spin 180 podcasts for a while. It is a podcast of indie-Christian rock bands. pixelZion currently has a post about the podcast as well.

Apple today released their version of the two button mouse named Mighty Mouse.
This new mouse still looks like it only has one button, but it has
touch sensitive technology under the smooth shell that senses where you
are clicking and what your intentions are for clicking. The mouse
also has two side buttons that are useable and can be programmed, so
this mouse really has four buttons.
A nice feature of the mouse is the 360 degree scroll ball. You can smoothly scroll the screen in all directions.
Apple has gone a long way with this mouse to appease those who want to
keep the Apple hardware theme, yet also prefer a two button mouse to
the original single button mouse.
