My son and one other player on our boys 11/12 year old football team are over the 150 pound weight limit, so they cannot have any offensive plays scripted for them. There is a slight height difference between the two boys as you can see in this photo. Matt, my son, is #98. He is 6’2″ tall and 185 pounds right now. He is 12. Did I mention he wears size 14 cleats?

On April 27, 2011, Alabama was hit with an unprecedented number of tornadoes that caused tremendous amounts of damage across the state. This is a town not too far away from my house that my wife and I visit quite often.

Insert multiple records into SQL Server 2008 with one Insert statement

I recently read Pinal Dave’s article about inserting multiple records using one Insert statement in SQL Server 2008. This is a very useful feature of SQL Server 2008 that makes it much easier to insert several records at one time.

One thing to point out about this method, however, is that you can insert a maximum of 1000 value sets in any single Insert statement using this method.

Just something to be aware of when you are inserting records with this method.

Another week in Alabama (USA) and another day with accumulating snow. This is the third time we have had measurable snow in our area since the first of the year. It is very unusual for our area to get snow just once a year let alone three times. This is the snow we have gotten in the past 90 minutes.

H. Neely Henry Dam was the first dam built as a part of an Alabama Power Company construction program that further developed the Coosa River in the late 1950s and the 1960s. The project included the construction of Weiss, Logan Martin and Bouldin dams and the redevelopment of Lay Dam. The facility was named after H. Neely Henry, a senior executive vice-president of Alabama Power.

MVVM newbie

I am working on a project for work using C#, .NET Framework 4, and Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF). I am writing the app using the Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) pattern. I am really enjoying this experience. However, I just read an article that makes me realize how green I am at this. I definitely suffer from the Fat ViewModel syndrome.
